Annette Andrew has over twenty years teaching experience ranging
from her current work in primary schools to being Head of English in
secondary schools and a Literacy advisory teacher.
In an advisory role for literacy she was involved in planning,
implementing and evaluating a pilot, ‘Literacy Project' in ten
secondary schools, following the model of the ‘Primary Literacy
Hour', as well as delivering borough and school based literacy INSET.
As a freelance education consultant, she offered intensive support,
pre and post OFSTED, whole school literacy INSET and literacy audits.
Annette now focuses on Family Learning and has been involved in
developing family literacy programmes for many years. Annette was
instrumental in the initial planning and implementation of the CLPE/Southwark
Family Literacy Courses and she continues to devise inspiring materials
and resources used by other FL tutors. She has had extensive experience
of delivering accredited courses to adults working with their children
and enjoys creating stimulating learning environments for her courses
which are run in a variety of school settings, from Nursery to KS2,
including special schools.

Annette also delivers INSET for teaching assistants and others working
in schools linked to family literacy. Annette is a fully qualified adult tutor.
