Centre for Literacy in Primary Education (CLPE), libraries,
community groups etc.
- Courses for teaching assistants
- Development of drama and role play techniques as integral tools for
teaching and learning across the curriculum
- Family Language and Family Learning Courses including parents and
children for whom English is an additional language
- Working with libraries:
interactive sessions to develop links between schools, parents,
children and local libraries.
YLG: in-service training for librarians focussed on choosing
and using picture books and work on visual literacy with Kate
Greenaway Award judges.
CILIP: Kate Greenaway Awards: design and production
of practical materials focussed on supporting schools and
children shadowing the awards process.
